Arts In Education (AIE) -- "Creating an honored place for the arts in lifelong education," the PCA's Arts in Education program fosters participation in the creative process by developing and supporting quality arts education programs in Pennsylvania schools and communities. This program places high-caliber visual, performing, media and literary artists in educational settings for in-depth residencies that engage students and underscore the importance of the arts in education.

Governor's Awards for the Arts -- The Governor's Awards for the Arts represent a Pennsylvania tradition begun in 1980. In 2004, awards will be presented in five categories, including the Distinguished Arts Award; the Patron Award; Outstanding Leadership & Service in the Arts for Youth or Arts in Education; Artist of the Year; and the Creative Pennsylvania Community Award. The awards are administered by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.

Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour (PennPAT) -- Developed and funded by the Vira I. Heinz Endowment, the Pew Charitable Trusts, the William Penn Foundation and the PCA, PennPAT is administered by the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation. PennPAT awards funds, on a competitive basis, to presenters in the Mid-Atlantic region and Ohio, in support of the presentation of eligible Pennsylvania-based performing artists. PennPAT publishes a roster of all performing artists funded through the program. PennPAT also provides technical assistance funds to artists on the PennPAT roster to advance tour readiness and to improve marketing and other tour management capabilities.
